Manganese Steel Engine & Transfer Case Skid Plate — Porsche Cayenne 955/957/958 & VW Touareg (2002–2017)
One plate covering both the engine and the transfer case in 3 mm work-hardening manganese steel. The oil pan is the lowest point under the engine and the transfer case is among the most expensive drivetrain components on this platform — this shields both. Direct bolt-on to factory underbody points.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does this plate cover?
Both the engine — oil pan and gearbox — and the transfer case, in a single plate with no exposed gap between them.
Manganese steel or aluminum — which should I choose?
The 3 mm manganese steel plate is the right choice for serious rock crawling and repeated heavy impacts, because manganese steel work-hardens on impact. The 5 mm aluminum version is lighter and better suited to overlanding and moderate off-road use.
Do I need to remove this for oil changes?
Yes. The plate must come off to reach the sump for oil changes and other underside maintenance. It bolts off and back on with basic tools.
Will this fit my Cayenne or Touareg?
It fits the Cayenne 955 (2002–2007), 957 (2008–2010), and 958 (2011–2017), and the Volkswagen Touareg from 2002–2017.
Can I buy all the skid plates together?
Yes — the manganese steel skid plate kit bundles the plates at a lower combined price.

Had a small chip in the e-coat right out of the box, but a little black paint fixed it. Fitment itself was spot on.
Build quality is noticeably better than the OEM equivalent. Shipping took longer than expected but customer service answered my question quickly enough.
Picked this up before a rocky weekend run. Took a couple of hard hits and the transfer case stayed happy. One bolt hole needed slight coaxing but nothing crazy.
Bolted right up on my 2004 Cayenne with zero hassle. Peace of mind on the trail is priceless.
Fits the Cayenne perfectly and the steel is thick. Took almost three weeks to arrive, which was frustrating, but worth the wait.
