Returns & Refunds

We accept returns of unused, uninstalled items within 14 days of delivery. Items must be returned in their original packaging and in resalable condition.

To start a return, email us at info@overlandtrek.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will confirm the return address and next steps before you ship anything back. Please do not return items without contacting us first.

Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect, an incorrect item being sent, or another error on our part. In those cases, we cover the full cost of return shipping.

Customs Duties and Import Taxes on Returns

Where we have paid customs duties and import taxes on your behalf, these are not refundable. Such charges are paid to the destination customs authority at the time of import and are not recoverable by us once your goods have cleared.

If you paid local taxes directly to your own customs authority, you may be able to reclaim those on re-export. Contact your local customs office, and we will provide any documentation you need to support the claim.

This does not affect your right to a full refund, including outbound shipping costs, where goods are faulty, not as described, or where you are exercising a statutory right of withdrawal — see below.

Custom Orders

Standard catalogue products are held in stock and follow the return terms above. Custom or modified items made specifically to your request are non-refundable once production has begun, unless they arrive defective or do not match what was agreed.

Refund Timing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take several additional business days for the funds to appear in your account.

Damaged or Defective Items

Inspect your order on arrival. If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us at info@overlandtrek.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, photographs of the packaging and the product, and a brief description of the issue. We will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at no cost to you.

Reporting within 48 hours allows us to pursue a claim with the carrier where transit damage is involved. Manufacturing defects discovered later remain covered under our limited lifetime warranty.

Warranty Claims

All Overlandtrek products carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Warranty claims are handled separately from returns — see our Shipping, Warranty & Returns page for full details.

Additional Rights for Customers in the European Union and United Kingdom

If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, you have statutory rights that apply in addition to, and take precedence over, the terms above.

Right of Withdrawal

Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and equivalent UK legislation, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the last item in your order, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, notify us of your decision by emailing info@overlandtrek.com with a clear statement that you are withdrawing from the contract, along with your order number. You may use the model withdrawal form, but it is not required.

Return Shipping Under the Right of Withdrawal

Under Article 14(1) of Directive 2011/83/EU, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods when exercising your right of withdrawal.

Refund Timing Under the Right of Withdrawal

We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving notification of your withdrawal, or once we have received the returned goods or proof that you have sent them back — whichever is earlier. Refunds are issued using the same payment method as your original purchase. Standard outbound shipping costs are included in the refund. Customs duties and import taxes already paid to the destination authority are not recoverable and are not included.

Exemptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised, as set out in Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

Other standard exemptions under Article 16 also apply, including sealed goods unsuitable for return on health or hygiene grounds once unsealed, and digital content supplied with your prior express consent.

Faulty Goods

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. These rights apply in addition to, and independently of, the right of withdrawal.
