We Don't Resell. We Manufacture.
Overlandtrek builds vehicle-specific protection and overland equipment for four platforms the aftermarket has largely ignored — the Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg, Lexus GX550, and INEOS Grenadier. Every part we sell is cut, formed, welded, and coated in our own factory.

Four Years of Building Before We Shipped Abroad
Overland Dream Factory opened in Changzhou, Jiangsu in 2021, building protection systems for China's domestic off-road market. It is a demanding place to learn the trade. Customers there drive the same Cayennes and Touaregs hard, over the same broken ground, and they are close enough to turn up at the workshop when something doesn't fit.
Four years of that gave us the tooling, the fitment data, and the production discipline before we ever shipped a unit overseas. In 2025 we opened to international customers under the Overlandtrek name. We still serve both markets — so the bumper going to Arizona comes off the same line, to the same specification, as the one going to Chengdu.

Why We Build It Ourselves
Most companies selling off-road armour are distributors. They buy finished goods, add a margin, and ship them on. When a part doesn't fit, they file a complaint with a supplier and wait.
We own the line. That changes three things. We control the specification, so when we publish a wall thickness or a load rating, it is the number we build to — not a figure copied from a catalogue. We fix a fitment problem at the jig, in days rather than seasons. And there is no distributor margin sitting between you and the steel.
Our manufacturing hub is in Changzhou, China. Order processing and after-sales support are handled by our US-based team. Our largest markets are the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Australia, Canada, the UAE, and Russia.

What We Build
Around 50 products, each engineered for a specific vehicle and model year. Never a universal part with a spacer kit.
- Front bumpers — every one includes a 12,000 lb-rated winch plate as standard
- Rear bumpers — including dual swingout designs carrying a spare wheel and jerry can
- Skid plates and chassis guards — engine, transfer case, fuel tank, and rear differential
- Roof racks and rock sliders — steel and aluminum, racks rated to 200 kg static
- Lift and suspension kits — with the geometry correction hardware to match
- Light brackets, door guards, headlight covers, and expedition tables
Platforms covered: Porsche Cayenne 955, 957 and 958 · VW Touareg Gen 1 and Gen 2 · Lexus GX550 (2024+) · INEOS Grenadier Station Wagon and Quartermaster (2023+).

How We Build It
- High-carbon manganese steel — our default across bumpers, skid plates, rock sliders, and roof racks, chosen for impact resistance rather than headline hardness numbers
- 7075 aluminum alloy — used where weight matters, including the Lexus GX550 front bumpers, our aluminum rock sliders, and our 5 mm aluminum skid plates
- Specifications we publish and build to — 50 mm tube, 3 mm wall, 5 mm plate. Every front bumper ships with a 6 mm manganese steel winch plate rated to 12,000 lb at no extra cost. The winch itself is not included.
- Full e-coating, inside and out — not a surface powder coat over bare steel. The coating reaches inside the tube, where corrosion actually starts.
- In-house laser cutting, CNC bending, and precision welding — cut, formed, and welded on our own machines, to our own drawings, for consistent fitment unit to unit
Our rear bumpers carry 200 kg static with 50 kg per swing arm, and our roof racks are rated to 200 kg static. Everything mounts to factory points — no cutting, no drilling, no welding — and every installation is fully reversible if you sell the vehicle or return it to stock.
