The tube is 50 mm (1.97 in) diameter with a 3 mm wall — 0.118 in, or roughly 11-gauge. The mounting plate is 5 mm (0.197 in), which is thicker than the 3/16 in plate commonly used on comparable bumpers. The winch plate is thicker again at 6 mm (0.236 in).
How much does this bumper weigh?
38 kg (84 lb) for the bumper alone. A 12,000 lb winch typically adds a further 35–40 kg (77–88 lb), so plan for roughly 75–80 kg (165–176 lb) total once a winch is fitted. Owners running a winch should consider heavier front springs or a levelling kit.
