Frequently Asked Questions
Manganese steel or aluminum — which should I choose?
The 3 mm manganese steel plate is the right choice for serious rock crawling and repeated heavy impacts, because manganese steel work-hardens on impact. The 5 mm aluminum version is lighter and better suited to overlanding and moderate off-road use.
Do I need to remove this for oil changes?
Yes. The plate must come off to reach the sump for oil changes and other underside maintenance. It bolts off and back on with basic tools in a few minutes.
Does this reduce my ground clearance?
The plate mounts flush to factory underbody points, so the loss of clearance is minimal — far less than the cost of a holed oil pan.
Can I buy all the skid plates together?
Yes — the complete manganese steel underbody protection kit bundles all four plates at a lower combined price.

Been through some rocky trails since installing this and not a scratch on my oil pan. Couldn't be happier with how it fits and how tough it feels.
Snap fit, no modifications, looks like it was meant to be there from the factory. Finally feel confident taking the thing off pavement.
Fitment was close but I had to shave a small tab on one edge to clear a bracket. Once sorted it sits flush and feels bomber.
Build quality is genuinely impressive and the finish looks clean. Tough to swallow the cost, but after seeing it in person I get why it's priced that way.
Small scratch in the coating on one corner, looked like it happened before packing. Doesn't affect function at all, just a cosmetic thing worth mentioning.
