Why is the winch plate steel when the bumper is aluminum?
The 7075 aluminum body keeps front-end weight down, while the winch plate uses 6 mm (0.236 in) manganese steel because that is where recovery loads concentrate. Steel is the right material for that specific job.
How much does this bumper weigh?
