VW Touareg 2-Inch Lift Kit (2002–2010)
Adds two inches of real ground clearance to the Touareg Gen 1 and Gen 1.5 Facelift using precision-machined forged 7075 aluminum spacers fitted above the factory strut tops. The factory suspension stays in place — nothing is removed, cut, or fabricated.
No geometry correction parts are required at this height. Subframe drop kits and tubular upper control arms become necessary from 3 inches of lift, not at 2.
Two choices to make above: first your car, then your colour. Each generation has its own kit — VW facelifted the Touareg for the 2008 model year, so the hardware is matched to the car you pick from the Select your vehicle dropdown. Gen 1 covers 2002–2007; Gen 1.5 Facelift covers 2008–2010. The Color choice is cosmetic only — red and gray are the same kit in a different finish.

Geometry Correction — Not Needed At This Height
Lift geometry correction is required from 3 inches and above, where CV and control arm angles move outside the factory working range. At 2 inches the suspension stays within tolerance, so this kit fits as supplied — a full wheel alignment afterwards is all that is needed. Separate from geometry: this kit keeps the factory air suspension, so Adjustable Level Sensor Links are recommended to recalibrate the ride height sensors and prevent warning lights.

Which options should I select?
Two choices. First your car: Gen 1 is the 2002–2007 pre-facelift 7L Touareg, Gen 1.5 Facelift is the 2008–2010 car. Then your colour, which is purely cosmetic — red and gray are the same kit. If you are unsure which generation yours is, email your VIN to info@overlandtrek.com before you order.
Is there any difference between the red and gray kits?
No — the finish is the only difference. Both are the same kit with the same components, spacer height, and hardware.
Do I need geometry correction parts with this kit?
No. Lift geometry correction — subframe drop kit, tubular upper control arms — is required from 3 inches of lift and above. At 2 inches the factory geometry stays within its working range, so no correction parts are needed. A full wheel alignment after fitting is still required.
Does this remove or replace the factory air suspension?
No. The factory air suspension is completely retained. The spacers fit above the factory strut top mounts, so all air suspension components, sensors, and compressors stay in place and operational.
Will this trigger fault codes or warning lights?
On air suspension models the ride height sensor may flag a warning once the lift is fitted. Our Adjustable Level Sensor Links recalibrate the sensor position to prevent this, and are strongly recommended for air suspension vehicles. This is a sensor calibration issue, not a geometry one.
Is a wheel alignment required?
Yes — a full wheel alignment is required after any suspension modification. Book it immediately after fitting for correct tyre wear, safe handling, and accurate steering.
Is this lift legal for road use?
At 2 inches it falls within the legal lift limit in most countries and US states. Modification laws vary by region, so check your local regulations before fitting any suspension lift.
What tyre size can I run after a 2-inch lift?

What warranty is included?
