Porsche Cayenne 955/957 & VW Touareg 2-Inch Steel Spring Lift Kit (2002–2010)
The air-suspension-delete option for the Gen 1 Cayenne and Touareg. Forged 7075 aluminum spacers fit at the factory strut top mount, and uprated steel coil springs replace the factory air bags — removing the compressor and bag complexity for a simpler system that can be serviced far from a specialist workshop.
The matching subframe drop kit is included in this package — there is nothing extra to buy for geometry correction at 2 inches.
This is a committed modification. An air suspension emulator or delete module is required to clear fault codes, and is sold separately.
Each generation has its own kit — choose your car from the Select your vehicle dropdown above. Both Porsche and VW facelifted these cars for the 2008 model year, so the hardware is matched to the car you pick. Four options cover the range: Cayenne 955 (2002–2007), Cayenne 957 (2008–2010), Touareg Gen 1 (2002–2007) and Touareg Gen 1.5 Facelift (2008–2010).

Geometry Correction — Already Included
The subframe drop kit ships inside this package, so the front subframe is lowered as part of the same installation and CV angles and control arm geometry are restored without a second order. Nothing further is needed at 2 inches.
Adjustable front sway bar end links and adjustable level sensor links are air suspension components and do not apply to this kit at all — this conversion removes the air system. Tubular upper control arms are only called for on the 3-Inch Lift Kit Complete Set, where the steeper angles make them necessary.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which option should I select?
Match the option to your car's model year. The 955 is the 2002–2007 Cayenne, the 957 is the 2008–2010 facelift. On the Touareg, Gen 1 is the 2002–2007 pre-facelift 7L and Gen 1.5 Facelift is the 2008–2010 car. If you are unsure which yours is, email your VIN to info@overlandtrek.com before you order.
Do I need to buy a subframe drop kit as well?
No. The subframe drop kit is already part of this package and arrives in the same box. The separately listed subframe drop kits are for customers fitting the 3-inch lift or building a correction kit on their own.
Do I need adjustable sway bar end links with this kit?
No. Adjustable front sway bar end links are for air suspension lift builds, and this kit deletes the air suspension entirely — so they do not apply. The same goes for adjustable level sensor links, which exist to keep the air suspension ride height sensors reading correctly; with no air system there are no sensors to correct.
Does this lift need any other geometry correction parts?
No. At 2 inches the included subframe drop kit handles the geometry. Tubular upper control arms are needed only on the 3-inch lift, where the greater height pushes CV and control arm angles beyond what a subframe drop alone can correct.
How does this differ from the standard 2-inch lift kit?
The standard kit (Cayenne / Touareg) adds spacers above the factory air suspension and keeps the full air system. This kit replaces the air bags with steel coils and deletes the air system entirely — for owners who want to be rid of the air suspension complexity for good.
Does this remove the original suspension?
No. The original struts and dampers are retained. The spacers mount at the factory strut top mount, and only the air bags are replaced with steel coil springs. Geometry below the top mount is unchanged.
Will deleting the air suspension cause fault codes?
Yes. Removing the air suspension triggers warning lights and fault codes from the suspension control module. An air suspension emulator or delete module is required to clear them, and is sold separately. Email info@overlandtrek.com before ordering if you have questions about the conversion.
Is a wheel alignment required?
Yes — a full wheel alignment is required after any suspension modification. Book it immediately after fitting.
Is this legal for road use?
At 2 inches the lift itself is within the legal limit in most countries and US states. However, deleting the factory air suspension may affect your vehicle's compliance with local roadworthiness standards — check with your local authority if you are unsure.
What warranty is included?
