Yes. Select VW Touareg Gen 1.5 Facelift (2008–2010). The facelift 7L has its own option so you are not left guessing whether a 2002–2007 listing stretches to your car.

They are the same first-generation Touareg (chassis code 7L). VW facelifted it for the 2008 model year, which is why we list 2002–2007 as Gen 1 and 2008–2010 as Gen 1.5 Facelift — the same split we use on our Touareg bumpers. Neither is the Gen 2 (7P) car from 2011 onwards, which this kit does not fit.

Because on this platform they share the same airflow and fail as a pair. Under tow, in deep sand or on long low-speed climbs, ATF temperature climbs at the same time coolant temperature does, and heat-soaked transmission fluid is what shortens gearbox life on these cars. Fitting a bigger radiator behind a factory-size oil cooler just moves the bottleneck. The upgraded cooler carries 3.16× the factory core volume and 68.6% more frontal area, so both circuits gain together.

The radiator core holds 2.07 times the volume of the factory unit — a 106.5% increase — and is twice as thick at 50 mm against 25 mm. The transmission oil cooler holds 3.16 times the factory volume, a 216.1% increase, at nearly twice the thickness. Those figures are geometric. Actual cooling performance is also shaped by core structure, fin density, material conductivity and the graphene coating, so the real-world margin is wider than the volume numbers alone suggest. We do not publish a temperature-drop figure, because it depends heavily on your climate, load and airflow.

It covers the whole radiator core surface. Graphene conducts heat at roughly 5,000 W/m·K, so the coating moves heat to the surface and radiates it away faster than bare metal. The effect is extra cooling speed for the same core volume — it works alongside the bigger core rather than instead of it.

The factory housings are stamped. A CNC-machined housing seals better and is structurally stronger, which matters on pressurised circuits that also take constant vibration and the occasional hard landing. It is the difference between a part that survives repeated pressure spikes and one that starts to weep at a seam.

No. Both parts use the factory mounts, hose and ATF line connections and fan shroud points. No cutting, drilling or bracket fabrication, and the original units can be refitted later if you ever want to.

No. The 958 and the Touareg 7P are a different platform with a different cooling pack. This kit covers the 2002–2010 cars only — Cayenne 955 and 957, and the Touareg Gen 1 and Gen 1.5.

If you are running hard enough to need a bigger cooling pack, the front of the car is taking hits too. Pair it with a front bumper and underbody armor if you spend real time on rough terrain.
