Aluminum Engine & Transfer Case Skid Plate — Porsche Cayenne 955/957/958 & VW Touareg (2002–2018)
One plate covering both the engine and the transfer case in 5 mm 7075 aluminum alloy — full protection for the two most vulnerable underbody components, at lower weight than steel. Direct bolt-on to factory underbody points.
Each generation has its own plate — choose your car from the Select your vehicle dropdown above. The underbody and mounting points differ between the Cayenne 955, 957 and 958 and between the Touareg Gen 1, Gen 1.5 Facelift and Gen 2, so the plate is cut and drilled for the car you pick. Selecting the wrong one means the mounting holes will not line up.

Which option should I select?
Match the option to your car's model year. On the Cayenne: 955 is 2002–2007, 957 is the 2008–2010 facelift, and 958 is the 2011–2018 car. On the Touareg: Gen 1 is the 2002–2007 pre-facelift 7L, Gen 1.5 Facelift is 2008–2010, and Gen 2 is the 2011–2018 7P. Is the same plate used for every car listed?
No. The plate is made specifically for the generation you select — the outline and the mounting holes differ between the Cayenne 955, 957 and 958 and between the Touareg Gen 1, Gen 1.5 and Gen 2. That is why the vehicle must be chosen before ordering, and why a plate for one generation will not bolt to another.
What does this plate cover?
Both the engine — oil pan and gearbox — and the transfer case, in a single plate with no exposed gap between them.
Aluminum or manganese steel — which should I choose?
The 5 mm aluminum plate is lighter and well suited to overlanding, fire roads, and moderate off-road use. The 3 mm manganese steel version work-hardens on impact and is the better choice for serious rock crawling and repeated heavy strikes.
Why is the aluminum plate thicker than the steel one?
Aluminum is less dense than steel, so a thicker section is used to reach comparable protection while still coming in lighter overall.
Do I need to remove this for oil changes?
Yes. The plate must come off to reach the sump for oil changes and other underside maintenance.
